My Trip to Canton!

Josh has been studying ALL day long today and I didn't just want to sit around the house all day. Plus my wedding ring warranty requires my ring to be inspected/cleaned by the store every six months....the closest store is in Canton, which is about an hour south of where we live. So I went down to Canton this morning. When I left, the roads were TERRIBLE! After almost hitting another car, I ALMOST decided that I should maybe just go back home. But I had to get my ring cleaned by the end of the month, so I thought I should just keep going. This is what it looked like driving down there:

But once I got down there....THE SUN WAS SHINING!!! I was TOTALLY excited. It had been soo long since I really have been out in the sun. I heard from someone that Cleveland is actually like the second or third cloudiest city in the US and I believe! I just HAD to take pictures of the BLUE sky and the sun. So, here they are:

Even though I am not the BIGGEST fan of the cold and snow, I do think that it is very beautiful! I've been wanting to take pictures of it too, so when I got back that is exactly what I did. I hope you enjoy them! The snow flakes were HUGE and it really just looked beautiful....For all of my friends/family back in Oklahoma, this is what a real winter looks like EVERYDAY!

  1. The snow is beautiful. How weird that just an hour or so away, the weather could look completely different. I do think that seeing all the white and cloudy skies could be gloomy and depressing after awhile. I know whent he weather is like that here, I am tired and bumbed by the end of the day.

  2. Oh, Dina, that is so beautiful! I always thought, if it is going to be cold outside, it should at least snow. But, not in Oklahoma...its just....cold and WINDY! Anyways, It's good to see your smiling face in that picture.

  3. Brrr. No thank you. Only...I think I'd take that over the ice storm that is about to hit and all the power outages that are sure to occur as a result...hmmm.
Having said that, the spruces covered in all that snow is so enchanting isn't it?

  4. Look at you and all your artsy pictures, they look great! I have a love/hate relationship with snow, love when it comes in November, hate when it's still here in April! Glad you got your ring cleaned and sparkling, and little road trips by yourself are always kinda fun!

  7. I know how that feels, being terrified to drive on roads. Scarrrrry! Why can't they just close everything when it snows like in OK? Love the pics!
