This Last Week

This last week has been a VERY long one. It was another test week for Josh; so of course he sent several night/hours at the school or Denny's studying. But I probably wouldn't have seen him much anyway because last Saturday I got really sick. All I did on Saturday and Sunday was SLEEP! And then the rest of this week I had to work but went to bed really early when I got home. Being sick this week totally wiped me out. It all started on Saturday morning when I woke up crying because my throat hurt so bad. My throat got better, but then I got the runny nose and the coughing which STILL has not gone away.

On Thursday, my mom and Josh FINALLY had convinced me to go the doctor. Since I haven't established with a family doctor here yet, I just went to an Urgent care center after work. Here's my question though....What exactly is urgent about an urgent care center? You would think that the patients that go there really need help URGENTLY and that they would get that help quickly, but NO you still there and wait for HOURS! I was lucky and was only there for about an hour, but it seemed like FOREVER! The just gave me some antibiotics and suggested some over the counter meds to take. I am feeling better but not really much. My cough is still very much prevalent and my nose is still runny. Hopefully this will pass soon!

Well other than being sick and test week, we haven't been up to much else. We did get to go to the temple yesterday though! and it was soooo good. I haven't been able to do a session in SOOOOOOOOOOOOO long that it just isn't funny. Luckily the Columbus temple is small and much like the one in Oklahoma City. Going to the temple here is an all day event though. The temple is about 2 hours away from where we live, but it was worth the car ride. The only thing I regret is that I forgot my camera! I really wish I would have brought it and taken pictures of my own of the temple. I guess there is always next time though! That concludes our week! Hopefully this week won't be so long!

Spring Break Part 4:The Rest of the Trip

OOOOOhhhhhh How I am ready for spring, aren't you?!?! The weather here in Ohio teases us quite often. One day it will be BEAUTIFUL the next it is only in the 30-40s! I was going to do this post this weekend, but I have been really sick! I actually sat down to do it at one point then after I put then the title in, I felt like I needed to lay down so I stopped! But here it is, FINALLY, the last installment of my trip to Tennessee with the girls and Stirling! I didn't edit any of these pictures because I am doing this at work and just don't have the time to edit them.

This is Christine doing Sudoku...What a DORK! j/k we are so lame that we even worked on a few together!

I just like this picture of Karri and I and I had to tell everyone the story of Stirling. We were trying to get Stirling in the picture too, as you can probably tell, but he wouldn't lay on the ground. He didn't want to get "poked" by the grass nor did he want to get dirty so he tried to just lean into the picture. OH how I love Stirling!

So we went to the BBQ place called Neely's. I guess it's been on the Food Network a couple times. They have a few restaurants in the Memphis area. We wanted to meet to owner but he left to do a catering job right after we got there! The food was really tasty!

Granny holding her grandbaby that she loves soooo much!

On Saturday we went to Stirling's award ceremony for his basketball team. We thought it would be short, but it ended up lasting at least an hour and we left early! Picture of Stirling in his uniform:
Once we left the awards ceremony, we played at the playground just outside. Get your stopwatches out.....We are going to play a little game....Who can spot Shawnee's ring the fastest? Ready, Set GO! j/k Shawnee...We love you!

Emmi LOVED the swing:
So Stirling was REALLY looking forward to a trophy and all he got was a stinkin backpack! He was WAAAAY disappointed! I tried to get him to smile, but if you look closely you can tell that he is disappointed about a stupid backpack! That's not cool at all!
Emmi also LOVED the slide!
Yep, this is how my ma and I do things! We take pictures of each other taking pictures!
And I had to throw in a few more pics. Shawnee in her "hospital bed" doing what she does best:
Christine attempting to dance and look cool:
And last but not least Stirling giving Emmi a ride!
Ok I am done with Tennessee, I promise! Now what else can I blog about...hmmmm....

Spring Break Part 3:Pictures

Ok, so I am soooo frustrated! I guess my Internet just wasn't working properly last night! I sat at the computer TRYING to upload some pictures but I couldn't get any to load!!!! GRRRR....So I was 20 minutes late to work this morning just so I could do another post for everyone! Sorry it has taken so long to get back to Tennessee....It now feels like it has been months since I was there. This post will be mostly pictures!

Picture of my lovely three sisters! (If they see this picture, they will probably kill me for putting it on here...Oh well...This is when I am happy that I live far away ;)

Sorry in advance for all the pictures of Emmi! I just think the pictures were too cute and I couldn't decide which ones to put on here....Just be happy that I didn't add the other 10 that I have!

I LOVE this picture! I think Karri looks good! I love Stirling's smile and I ABSOLUTELY love Emmi's face and hand!

These pictures of Emmi are ones that I just LOVE! Look at her facial expressions! They are adorable! She is really enjoying that sucker! I have about 20 more pictures of her with her sucker that I didn't post, so just enjoy the ones I did post!

Me and my Mommy!
The gang!

So to be quite honest, we didn't go out and do a whole lot. We mostly just sat around and talked, played and laughed! It was a lot of fun! I hope I am not BORING everyone, but there will be at least one more post from my Tennessee trip, then we can move on to something else! And thanks for all your comments!

Spring Break Part 2: Rascal Flatts Concert!

Ok, well I guess I am just going to have to been happy with 5 comments! Thanks everyone for commenting! I figured I would go ahead and do Part 2, because there also needs to be a part 3 and our anniversary is this weekend, so I have lots to post about and need to get them out there before I get too overwhelmed!

On Thursday, we didn't really do much! I slept in and Christine and I were both kind of lazy! I took a short nap with Emmi and we just lounged around but it was great! Then we started getting ready for the concert! We were both really excited! We went out to dinner, just Christine and I, and ate some yummy food at Olive Garden. We LOVED out waitress, she was just completely on top of things and was really sweet! Then off to the concert! On the way there, we through the ghetto which was kinda scary. But that's the way the GPS told us to go....don't you just love those things :) But we finally made it there safe and sound. Shortly after we arrived, the concert started. Here are a few pictures:

So I wasn't able to get an really good pictures of Jessica Simpson, who opened for Rascal Flatts, because I didn't figure out how to use my camera properly until after her. But here are the pictures that looked half way decent. The first one is actually her on the screen.

Christine & I at the concert....Just try to ignore my double chin:

The concert was really good! We really had a great time and Rascal Flatts was AWESOME! They are really good in concert and very entertaining! Here are some pictures I took of them!

And no post about Tennessee would be complete without pictures of Stirling and Emmi:

Thanks Christine for taking me to the concert and letting me stay with you! I had a GREAT time! Love ya! And for everyone else...leave your comments for a faster post :)

Spring Break Part 1: Bowling

Well, I have soooo many pictures and so much to tell you about that I have decided that I need to break it into parts. The first post is Spring Break in Ohio! Before I left Josh in Ohio to go to Tennessee, we did a couple fun things with friends. I was still at work during the days and Josh "studied" but at night we had a blast! We stayed up way too late just about every night playing games and chatting with friends. One night we went bowling with them. I really have no idea what day this was, I think it was two Saturdays ago, but don't put your money it. We had a lot of fun! Here are a few pictures of the night!

Josh with his funky style of bowling. It's really too hard to explain how he does it, you just have to see it!

The guy friends we went with:

Now this guy was AMAZING! At the beginning of the game, he was actually beating me! Well, not sure if it was that he was amazing or if I am just not good at all! He is FIVE (OOPS....I was told that he is really only FOUR; Thanks Karie, that sure helps my self esteem) years old! I would like to say though that I did end up passing him and beating him in the end! But I think it was only by like 2 pins...YIKES! I think we need to bowl more often!

Me attempting to bowl:

Ok, so that's really all the pictures I have of bowling. Sorry none of them are very good and I didn't get pictures of any of the girls...OOPS!

I left Wednesday night to go to Nashville!!! My flight was fine, especially since it was a direct flight! My wonderful sister Christine with her two kids picked me up! We then had a THREE hour drive to her home! On the way, Stirling threw up in the car! Wow! That was an experience. Luckily a pillow caught the most of it! Once we got to her home, we CRASHED! Thursday we didn't really do much until it was time to get ready for the Rascal Flatts concert!!! That will be my next post! Enjoy all the suspense about the concert! I will try not to wait too long to post. But the more comments I get on this post, the faster I will do my next! So COMMENT, COMMENT, COMMENT!
